Hmmmm how many days was she technically healthy this time. Hmmm. We went to the Dr. on May 26th for her 15 month check up and found out that she had a ear infection = antibiotics for 10 days. Went back to the Dr. after two weeks and she was certifiably healthy. Then three weeks ago she started having this deep cough. No other symptoms so we just stuck it out. I called the nurse hotline twice and no, no need to worry unless she gets a fever or it persists for a long time. Yesterday afternoon when she woke up from her nap she was somehow doing much worse than she had that morning - coughing, sneezing, labored breathing. Enough to make me say to myself "It's worth the $20 copay to just have peace of mind and know what is going on." So off we went in a torrential downpour to the doctor. Turns out she has lots of drainage and since it's been there for 3 weeks it gets labels as a sinus infection and she is on amoxicillin (again).
So using your junior high math logic skills how long was Savannah drug and sickness free? TWO WEEKS!!! Also pertinent information in there is that she cut three teeth (one incisor and two molars) and according to my mother I always got sick when I was cutting teeth. Ugh.
We'll be fine. And maybe Savannah will continue to enjoy wiping her own nose with a tissue. That would be nice :-)
