Candler got off work early on Friday so we could spend a little family time together. He got home at 11am and played in the pool with Savvy for an hour. Then we had some lunch and Sav went down for a nap. Post-nap Candler decided that we should get out of the house. We piled into the car with no particular plans and while driving Candler decided we should go to the zoo. Friday was ridiculously hot, but I thought we could swing it. We were there for about 1.5 hours (thank you zoo membership) and visit the indoor exhibits - aquarium, reptiles, Australian nocturnal animals, and then ate some dippin dots by the carousel. Luckily the zoo had set up misting stations so we were able to cool off a little bit. It was so fun to go to the zoo together since Sav and I usually go with the girls.
Then we went and used some coupons and got free Chick-Fil-A for dinner. Sav had fun dipping her fries and chicken nuggets in Candler's buffalo sauce. I'm not sure how she ate that stuff since it really is spicy, but she is her father's daughter.
Then we went to Sam's Club and walked around for 20 minutes killing some time before we went to see Lawrance and Tiffany while they were passing through town. Sav walked the whole store holding Candler's hand. This is the blurry picture I took from my camera of them together. Too cute!
Such a fun day. Glad Candler was able to play with us!
