Savvy has added a couple more tricks to her arsenal and now that I think about it they are all from Candler introducing her to new things.
1. Candler called me from Walmart and asked me where they sell the baby puffs. I told him the baby section but that Savvy wasn't ready for them yet. According to all that I have read she needs to be able to do the pincer grasp (picking things up with her thumb and forefinger), sitting up on her own (she can mostly do this), and crawling. Well Candler got home from the store and I decided to take a shower. While I'm in the shower Candler comes in, very excited, and says "She ate a puff!" I was completely confused but apparently Savvy is adventurous. She tried to grab the puff and would almost get it. So if you put the puff in her mouth (which is not recommended) she will chew on it and swallow it. She loved it. Sorry little girl you still aren't going to be getting these on a regular basis until you can feed yourself.
2. Candler got a new phone as part of his new job. His old phone he decided to let Savannah play with. She went nuts over it. Loved it! Now she's making eyes at my phone - too bad little one it's not a toy.
3. She is sitting up mostly by herself. Here she is with her phone rattle which she now gets the concept if she shakes the rattle it makes noise.
4. Actually jumping in her Jumperoo - well sometimes. She used to just walk or tap dance and now she'll occasionally get a jump in there.
5. Chomping on an apple. Once again not my idea but sometimes Daddy knows best. I was eating some sliced honey crisp apple and Savvy was staring me down. Candler suggested that we give her a slice to chomp on. Once again she loved it. Got apple juice all down her shirt but she made some good damage. Even took it out and repositioned it all by herself. We took it away once she started breaking pieces.
In other news I think I have found my favorite 9 month outfit for her. Every size baby clothes so far I've always had a few favorite pieces. This is a Hello Kitty outfit from H&M that my sister picked up for it. It's a sweatshirt dress with cotton leggings. Feels super comfy and Savvy looks way more fashionable than her Mom in it. Cute!
I would watch out about the apple. The baby I nannied for aspirated apple and had to go to the hospital. Freak accident? Yes. But it has made me very scared of babies and apples.
