Best Sacrament Behavior

So Sav is a pretty well behaved girl, but for some reason she has had a hard time with Sacrament meeting at church. We've tried talking about it, practice whispering, letting her pick out which items she wants to bring with her, and nothing was the golden ticket. She wasn't bad, just talked rather loudly or would have meltdowns for unknown reasons. Church is from 1-4pm right now which is nap time so it's hard to expect perfect behavior, but I thought she could do better. She was also under the weather for a couple weeks...but today was a wonderful day.

While eating her lunch we asked Sav what we do during Sacrament meeting and she told me "Be really quiet and don't scream and yell." I'll take it. Then she was very excited to go to nursery and play with her little friends and her big friend takes her potty (AKA my friend April who is in the primary presidency and has a daughter Sav's age). So off to church we went. Sav colored for the entire hour on the same picture. No problems whatsoever. Wonderful!!

When another little girl left with her Mom crying Sav said "That girl crying. She take a time out and come back in." I had to contain my laughter. At least Sav knows that when she gets taken out of Sacrament it's not play time in the hallway. I take her to an empty classroom, sit down on a chair and we calm down. No option to play with the chalkboard or run around. She can either sit on her chair or sit on my lap. Amazing how quick that gets her calmed down and wanting to go back in to sacrament.

So yay for a maturing little girl who is learning how to behave in different situations. Great job Sav! She was rewarded after church with a chocolate sucker...and Mommy got one too :-)
