Pesto Pesto

To put our over growing herb garden to good use Candler decided to make pesto. This was the second time making pesto since the first time was so delicious on grilled chicken and then as a pesto chicken with pasta covered in a carbonara sauce and grape tomatoes. Should have taken a picture - such a wonderful meal I told Candler it could be our anniversary staple. Here is our now favorite Pesto recipe...

1. Take 3 cups packed fresh basil

2. Place 1/3 C walnuts in food processor

 3. Add basil to food processor and pulse several times

4. Add 1 T minced garlic

5. Blend while adding 1 Cup olive oil

6. Blend until consistency is smooth and full blended

7. Add 1/4 Cup finely grated Parmesan cheese. Blend.

  8. Add salt and pepper. Blend.

9. Package for use. Refrigerate or Freeze for later use. Tadaa!

We had the Hatch's over for dinner a few days ago and of course Savvy and Lily got to chatting. Lily then being the older and wiser baby decided to start trying to play with Savvy. If only Savvy were big enough to play back...in time.

Candler discovered a fun new trick with Savvy - she loves to play in a blanket. Just goofing off I put it over her head and then this is what came of it...

Such a little cutie ;)
